The Project Wilson story began in the late eighties, when we were part of a hard rock band called "Heartless Wager".

Years went by, and Heartless Wager worked steadily towards rock and roll infamy.  However, as befalls many bands, fate was unkind to the Wager, and after a run of bad luck, bad attitudes and bad decisions, we all quit one by one -  moving on to greener pastures and a more fulfilling life.

Gradually the age of hard rock and heavy metal gave way to grunge, and Heartless Wager experience ground to a halt.  Sick of rock, sick of each other - we all went our separate ways.  Unsure of our direction in a world of evolving musical tastes, we struck out on our own.

Fortunately, the three of us reconnected just prior to the demise of Heartless Wager.  We were adult enough to forgive me the petty squabbles and assorted melodramas from our past, and we soon rekindled our musical partnership.

None of us particularly enjoyed the new grunge wave that swept the airwaves.  We refused to ape the flavour of the month, but neither would we continue to wave the flag of acid-washed denim.  We finally had the chance to give life to the "Project Wilson" music and ideas that had been kicking around for the past 6 years.

Having the freedom to write what we wanted was exhilarating, and we worked tirelessly in crafting a handful of songs that we felt represented our musical taste and influences.

Some of the ideas were fresh, some were rescued from the scrap heap of Heartless Wager tunes, while others were craftily nicked from other sources and fed into our musical recycler, to be given new lives as Project Wilson material.
